Our water was clean again this report period but remained hot. We had lots of bait around all week, including Cigar minnows, Spanish sardine, Alewives, Threadfin Herring, Ballyhoo, small Hardtails and small Pin fish. Species caught this week: King Mackerel, Bonita, Mahi, Hardtails

The Bonita action was pretty good. They were caught most days this period. The bite was so good Thursday morning that anglers had five hooked at once. That was entertaining as they tried to keep their lines free of tangles. Plus, the resident Barracuda decided to take a bite out of one. Live bait seemed to be their choice, but some were hooked on lures too. Most ranges in the 7-11

pound range.

Saturday was the only day King Mackerel were caught. I had a report of three being caught but could only confirm two. There was a King strike Tuesday morning but no hook-up. It seems that they are out in the 35-40 feet depth as reported by several boat anglers.

Monday and Tuesday saw a surprise Mahi bite. There were two caught Monday and one Tuesday.
